Welcome to My Personal Page
Arianne Lynn Matthews Tribute Page
In loving memory of our daughter Arianne Lynn Matthews who left this world far too young at the age of 16. Loving daughter of Dean and Lynn. Arianne was a blue eyed, beautiful, kind and compassionate daughter. Arianne always stayed close to home and wanted to spend time with her family. We were always so proud of her and our whole world revolved around her.
As a baby Arianne began to attend church and continued to be a part of the Youth Group and enjoyed taking an active role in the church. Arianne also enjoyed figure skating, playing soccer and attending Brownies & Girl Guides.
At 6 years of age Arianne suffered a medical illness where she spent time at SickKids under the care of the Neurology team. We have always been so grateful for the amazing care Arianne got during her time there. Following her release from SickKids, Arianne required further medical support and spent time at Holland Bloorview. Arianne always wanted to talk about this experience and often would write about this for different school assignments over the years. Due to the excellent medical support Arianne received she was able to return to a normal life which we have always been so thankful for.
Arianne enjoyed playing the flute at school and had a love for music. As a family we enjoyed camping, boating & kayaking. Arianne also enjoyed going to the Nascar races with family and was a Chase Elliott fan.
Arianne always enjoyed the outdoors and at age 15, Arianne took the Hunters Education Program and Personal Acquisition License course. Arianne hunted with a bow and a rifle. Hunting was a sport which Arianne was successful at and enjoyed hunting with her father and brother.
On March 12, 2021 we found ourselves walking the same halls at SickKids which we had done 10 years earlier. Arianne once again received excellent care at SickKids. Unfortunately this time the outcome was devastating for us as Arianne’s parents.
In honour of Arianne, if you are able we kindly ask you to make donations supporting the Neurology Division at SickKids. We are hopeful that the donations made in Arianne’s honour will make a difference by supporting patient care, research and education needed to help prevent other parents from experiencing the loss we are going through.
In my dreams, I SEE YOU
In my heart, I FEEL YOU
In my life, I MISS YOU
